Rainbow Dash wouldn't have any fun underwater if she didn't have Tank! Luckily Twilight was able to give him an air bubble so he could follow her down.I had a lot of fun with this one! I love her floating hair and playful expression. It took me a while to finally settle on dark blue for her tail color, but it seemed to be the best fit for her. I tried both yellow and red as they were both in her cutie mark, but the blue just looks the nicest. Her shirt is also her swim shirt from Forgotten Friendship, but with the colors changed to her cutie mark colors to match better. Also, Tank is vectored from an episode screencap.

No, he's actually a reptile because he's a tortoise. They can't swim as well as turtles, and people frequently mistake them for turtles and try to help them by throwing them in water, which causes them to drown.
