Perhaps you can help me. My history professor told us to make a roman shield and I want to make a really good one. My problem is the base. I can't use wood or plywood cuz those things don't bend, and even if they did, I don't really know how to go about doing that. However, my first choices would have been either of these too because we're going to stage a mock war as well and I don't want my shield to break apart at the first whack.
Is this foamcore material you use strong enough to withstand some light to moderate whacking?
