I also went totally overboard with photoshop filters instead of rendering properly for the same reason. >_<

I tend to switch art methods with every drawing because I enjoy experimenting to see how it turns out

Oh brother, you've made the ragman look amazing! You've caught his cheeky and whimiscal character in the expression, his facial features are just as i pictured them, and you have even managed to make sense of his zany hair. You've really nailed the character as far as i'm concerned. Bug is right, this real high end quality work.

Once again, you take someone's already impressive character and make it into something even more incredible.

It's the expressions where you really bring your work to life. Every character you ever draw, even in the goofy, silly pictures you do, the characters have these expressions that convey so much personality.
In this case, there's a kind of mystery to him, and a slyness, but not a dangerous slyness. More a playful, creative slyness. He seems like he'd have a very good-natured sense of humor. A sharp wit that borders on being snarky, but never seems to come at the expense of others like most witty jokes and that this would find expression through his needle work.
Or something like that.
