I've had this idea in my head since... well, since it was confirmed that Toph had a kid. There's no way Lin was able to get away with anything growing up. Poor girl couldn't have even been able to sneak a cookie without her mother eventually finding out.I was going to color this, but I'm too lazy.
Oh, and if you're wondering why Lin has a leaf sticking out of her headband
a) small children put together the craziest outfits
2) Since Toph couldn't actually see what Lin's outfits looked like, she probably got away with wearing whatever the heck she wanted (probably the only thing she ever got away with

I experienced something similar when I was a kid. I was helping my mother with making cookies, and, like most kids, I liked the dough on its own. I'm reaching for one, and mom, without looking, says she thinks I've had enough

But another thing I had often thought of Toph having a child would be how she would try to hide her sadness when in this case Bei being to young to understand that her mommy can't see tries to show her a picture she drew.
