I think I understand what's happening, and if I am right then this is not good at all.
Because they weren't originally from this world, that's probably why they're still around because the rules of the world don't apply to them. Because time is stopping, nothing can actually exist without time so everything sort of vanishes
Though at the same time neither was Gengar, but maybe because he became a pokemon for so long or was there before the time calamity actually started thats why the rules applied to him? I guess I'll have to wait and see lol

Also, Mewtwo without his powers. Can his brain even function properly without them? That's probably why he's holding his head like that, isn't it? His mind is beyond anything we can even comprehend, since he's such a powerful psychic. That being ripped away must feel like suddenly waking up and realising that your legs were torn off while you were unconscious. Not to mention that he can't even communicate without his telepathy, either.Β

Many Ghost Pokemon seem to form from dead Pokemon and dead humans, so there's an argument that Gengar is 'undead', especially since he was originally a human from Japan centuries past and unless they froze his aging while he was a Pokemon, he's no longer capable of returning to being human since his human self would be dead. My interpretation.
As for Mewtwo, it's hard to say. He's the only stable Mew-clone and Mew-clone+enhancement experiment. Maybe that stability was due to his powers, or they finally got his genetic sequences and physical body to properly hold themselves together. We know Alakazam basically puppeteers itself using its psychic powers because its body is too unwieldy without them. He might be having a horrific time without his psionics.

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a bit confused. Wouldn't it have been simpler for Gardevoir to teleport Mewtwo to the relic and have the others camp by the tower? They were able to go there and back without any issues the first time, so I doubt it would be any different this time around.

Perhaps the distance was shorter and since the dark zone was smaller she could still maintain her power. Now that the dark zone is bigger, powers just get sucked out of them.
