Wow! This is amazing and beautiful.

I am lost in the movement and shifting of blues. From dark to light to medium, I feel like I am floating amongst the clouds that cannot be seen.

Just beautiful and makes me feel happy and free too!

Thank you, I made several mountains to obtain this fading gradient so that the scene will have more perspective in it. The idea is to carry the viewer's attention to the center and at the center, there is light so there is hope.

You have succeeded your desire. And, yes, where there is light there is hope. I really love this piece. Much comfort from it do I get.

Very beautiful and soothing scene!

I tried to work with Bryce a few years ago, but somehow I did not enjoy it ... I prefer 3ds Max.

SuliannH In reply to Pixx-73 [2009-09-16 19:43:28 +0000 UTC]

Thank you. Well, you know, I would not compare Bryce to Max because they are totally different programs. Bryce is mainly designed for landscapes. The only way to build new objects in it is by the use of Booleans. Apart from that, you can't edit and transform the meshes as you would in Max. Max is very powerful but it would take one a great deal of time before really mastering it. I am slowly learning Max. I like it but for now I prefer Bryce over Max when it comes to landscapes simply because I am more used to it and find it easier. Sure, when I will be more familiar with Max...I might use it for creating landscapes as well.

Pixx-73 In reply to SuliannH [2009-09-17 09:07:02 +0000 UTC]

You're right Sue. Bryce is much faster and easier to create landscapes. I'm making a lot of technical models and visualization in my job, so Max is better for me.
But learning Max is quite difficult (especially initially). Not at all intuitive. It took me quite a long time to learn it. You have my respect, that you are working in several 3D programs.

SuliannH In reply to Pixx-73 [2009-09-17 19:25:20 +0000 UTC]

You're right, it is not an intuitive program. It is better learning it with dedicated video tutorials otherwise one would waddle too much. I also found a couple of good walk trough tutorials on line for Max (not all of them are good though) and I bought also a manual recently. Well, I find you very courageous to be able to work with many programs as well.

Thank you so much. Bryce has a life of its own, you can spend 30 hours building something with it and nothing good comes out of it, then you rotate the scene to a different view and voila, you got a totally different scene, the one you were aiming at.
