+ His quirk is activated through singing, and physically rejuvenates his energy and heightens his physical ability while he's singing. (Dexterity, Strength, etc.)
+ This rejuvenation can be transferred from Orpheus to another person through physical touch, and the receiver can retain the energy and heightened ability as long as he continues to sing. The transfer must be intentional; just forcing a physical touch won't automatically transfer the quirk's effects.

Limitations:
- Orpheus' quirk can be compared to a sugar rush: if the quirk is over exerted, there will be a sudden crash that causes his energy to deplete almost entirely.
- When using his quirk only for himself, he can maintain it continuously for about 20 minutes. To avoid crashing, he normally uses it in short bursts instead of for the solid time limit.
- When his quirk is being shared with others, the time is split by the number of people being affected. So, 1 other person = 10 minutes, 2 other people = ~7 minutes, etc.
- If he stops singing and his quirk deactivates while affecting others, he will have to touch them again to re-transfer.

Personality:

Orpheus is a very bright and happy individual, always ready to greet friends and strangers alike with a smile. While some might wrongly find his constant pleasantries patronizing, it's pretty easy to tell that his overt kindness is genuine. He's very much a social butterfly, happily striking up conversation about anything and everything with anyone who will humor him. Extroverted as he is, he tends to be easy to talk to, usually able to fill in gaps in conversation for his less social counterparts. Some might call him a bit eccentric with his phrasing and occasional love for friendly dramatics -- but he's just having fun!

Sometimes, though, he's a bit too open, and too happy to give everyone a chance. Orpheus has a hard time turning people away, and it can be easy for people will intention to take advantage of him if he isn't careful. It's not so much naivety, as it is an inability to let himself take the chance of turning away someone truly in need. He can also spread himself too thin emotionally if he doesn't take a step back -- which, truthfully, isn't often enough.

History:

For Orpheus, life starts around the age of 7 -- and clearly not by choice. It was at this age that he and his parents were caught up in a villain attack, innocent bystanders who happened to be in exactly the wrong place at exactly the wrong time. To this day, Orpheus isn't sure what the villains were trying to do. All he can recall is the searing pain around his neck brought on by one of the villains restraining him with their quirk, and running when he felt it release thanks to an attack from one of his parents. Not taking kindly to the retribution, the his parents ended up killed.

Orpheus knows this happened, but he can't remember it. Being so young, his mind was quick to repress the traumatic experience, to the point of developing a rather severe form of psychogenic amnesia. To protect himself from the trauma, he forgot his parents, and gap upon gap was opened in his young childhood memories.

Unable to simply place him with distant relatives, Orpheus was instead sent to an orphanage that specialized in the recuperation of children orphaned by villain attacks. Although he never got to the point of recovering what was missing of his life before the attack, he was able to move on with help from his caretaker: a kind old woman, who tell him a much happier rendition of the tale of Orpheus -- a brave man who did save what he lost. It was merely an attempt to help the boy cope with his wound and the scar that followed, but he took it to heart. So much so that his caretaker began calling him by the name, until he adopted it entirely. It meant more to him than what he'd been named before, after all.

While rehoming was an option for some of the children in the orphanage, Orpheus stayed as he grew up, happiest with his caretaker and with being in an environment where he could help others who'd gone through things like he did. It was this environment, surrounded by people hurt by villains, that he decided he wanted to be a hero. He could still remember running away when he was a child; he didn't want to do that again.

After turning 18, Orpheus went on to find mentoring in heroics, and landed an internship at around the age of 19. After spending time working under the hero, it was suggested to him that he apply to Schuyler to kickstart his own career. And low and behold: here he is!

Extras:
+ Orpheus and the rest of the children at the orphanage did receive schooling, with homeschooling up until high school, at which point they attended a local school.
+ He legally changed his name at 18!
+ Even now, he still can't recall anything about his parents -- not even their faces. While there are plenty of treatment options, he's too scared of what trauma would resurface to try.
+ Orpheus very obviously loves music, and can play guitar amongst a few other stringed instruments. He also did some theatre back in the day!
+ Given the nature of his quirk, he has very competent close combat skills!
