I've always thought your bird drawings were great - you just seem to capture their personality. I used to have a budgie that couldn't fly very well and put it on a puppet to take it for rides around the room.  I was very young.  Never knew whether the budgie appreciated these rides!

Thanks Shelley I love Budgies we used to have one called Peter and he could speak. Mum taught him to say "who´s a pretty boy" but mostly it said just "Who´s a ?" which left it up to you to put your own adjective in, we  did have a laugh sometimes. I am sure you`re little friend enjoyed his rides on the puppet and couldn´t wait for the next one.

Ja wir hätten einmal ein Hansi und auch ein Kooky leider beide von uns gegangen. Hansi gefällt mir besonders als Vogel name.

We had a few as I remember as a Child. My Uncle had a very rough, scratchy voice and so did the bird,  it could imitate him perfectly . It used to pluck out it´s flight feathers for some reason and then follow him around on foot, even outside in the yard .They gave us lots of happiness with their antics .

Not quite as quick as you, picking up this latest deviation! This budgie seems to radiate love!  Always had a budgie years ago but they never seemed to last long.  Hated it when they were found at the bottom of the cage legs up in the air!  This one is full of life though!

Aww thank you . We had a few too, when I was a kid. One used to talk and would always shorten his sentences. from Who´s a pretty boy to just who´s a....... we used to fill in the rest but I won´t write  what we used to call him in place of pretty boy.... Ha ha
