Critiques and comments on things I should fix would be highly appreciated~

Awweyeah yet another group. This time it's < U >
I really love this guy but he was so hard to design. ; < ; I always seem to pick the difficult to anthro Pokemon.
Because of that I had to go with a more modern anthro, I really hope that's alright. D:

Ability: Liquid Ooze: When the opponent absorbs Hit Points from this Pokémon, the opponent instead loses Hit Points.

Characteristic: Good perseverance

Job: Sword Swallower

Faction: Lune

Wish: Being a rather gluttonous person, Oswald had wished to be able to taste all the delicious food in the world, which…backfired rather easily. Mr. Dark happily granted his wish and gave him plenty of delicious food to eat. What Oswald didn’t realize was that in return for all the food, his sense of taste had been drastically altered. Anything the Swalot ate now tasted foul, rancid, and disgusting leaving him almost afraid to eat half the time…along with giving him a terribly sensitive stomach and an almost constant feeling of nausea.

Personality: Oswald is a rather down to earth individual. Despite his appearance he can usually hold himself in a conversation and can be rather cheery. Well…he CAN be cheery if you catch him at the right time. He’s actually rather whiny about always feeling sick or hungry and can sometimes irritate people with it. He doesn’t mean to get on peoples’ nerves but when something you loved dearly has been turned into something you can’t help but despise you’d probably complain too…He’s a pretty loyal friend though and would happily listen to people’s troubles in an attempt to help them. It’s the least he could do to make up for his constant complaining…

History: Oswald was born into a pretty simple family consisting of just him, his mother, father, and grandmother. His mother was a Swalot and usually just stayed at home while his father was a Drifblim and was usually out working at a local textile factory. Being an only child the Gulpin was spoiled rotten and never really learned to appreciate all the things he had in his life. One of his favorite things to do was cook with his grandmother, mainly cause he could eat the food they made afterwards, lick the spoons when they were baking, and sneak berries and sugar cubes when she wasn’t paying attention. The child quickly turned out to be quite the glutton and was made fun of a lot due to his weight. He never really cared though since…he was just doing what he loved to do right? Eventually reality did set in for Oswald and it unfortunately hit hard.

When the Gulpin was twelve his grandmother passed away and with it came realizations that he’d lost someone important...someone who loved him, who cooked with him, who listened to his secrets…It quickly snapped Oswald out of his spoiled brat phase and showed him that bad things do indeed happen in the world and there was nothing that could stop them. He started treating people and things differently…He wouldn’t brag about his fancy new toys or the nice snacks he had and took better care of his things in general so they wouldn’t break.

Oswald ended up evolving when he was around eighteen, and attempting to find a job. The evolution came as a bit of a surprise but he was honestly more concerned with finding work. His father had ended up losing an arm due to the faulty machines at the factory he worked at and was unable to work and to support the family. It was up to the Swalot now to support everyone and while it was quite the burden, he didn’t mind taking it if it meant saving his family from starvation and losing their home. He quickly found a job in helping build rails for trains. The hours were long and the pay was mediocre but at least it helped. The Swalot kept this up for about sixteen years and felt rather accomplished that he was not only helping his family, but allowing easier access to his hometown through trains. It was one day though that a very peculiar train showed up…

Mr. Dark’s circus showed up one night and everyone suddenly flocked to see the amazing performances. Oswald decided to take the day off as well to go see what was going on since…living in a boring town meant that there wasn’t much excitement. After seeing the acts and finding himself having fun he was confronted by none other than Mr. Dark himself. After having a short conversation on if he enjoyed the circus or not he was asked a rather…peculiar question. If he could have any wish granted what would it be? Oswald was rather curious about this until it was explained to him that he could make his wildest dreams come true. He…fell for the ruse rather easily and seemed excited. Out of all people HE was chosen to have a wish granted? But what would he wish for? It quickly dawned on him though that he hadn’t had any super decent meals in a while…oh how he wanted to eat large, grand meals every day! It was then that he said his wish.

“I wish to be able to taste all the delicious food from around the world!”

Since uttering those words, Oswald has found himself tied to the circus, unable to leave. What’s worse is that everything he ate now tasted awful and rancid…And with all the food he wanted to eat right in front of him…he certainly wasn’t happy. He quickly became a sword swallower and hoped that maybe if he performed well enough he could get out of this place and go back home…

Likes: Food (sometimes), sunny days, water (it’s one of the only things that doesn’t taste nasty to him), reading, making people happy, compliments.

Dislikes: Food (sometimes), the circus, the constant worry he has about his family, feeling nauseous, being hungry, people pulling on his whiskers, realizing when people get annoyed with his complaining.

Moveset:
Acid Spray: (Lvl up) The user spits fluid that works to melt the target. This harshly reduces the target's Sp. Def stat.
Yawn: (Lvl up) The user lets loose a huge yawn that lulls the target into falling asleep on the next turn.
Shadow Ball: (TM) The user hurls a shadowy blob at the target. It may also lower the target's Sp. Def stat.
Toxic: (Lvl up) A move that leaves the target badly poisoned. Its poison damage worsens every turn.

Extras:
Because of his wish backfiring on him, poor Oswald is plagued with constant nausea and unfortunately loses the contents of his stomach a lot. This has led him to become quite emaciated compared to when he first arrived at the circus.
He’s about 5’6’’
It’s unknown what has become of his family since his disappearance.
Due to his past work he’s actually pretty knowledgeable of some specific mechanics such as how certain tools work and whatnot.
He’s a decent cook but…he has no reason to WANT to cook anymore.
