2052, oil reserve run dry in the Middle East. The Eurasian Federation[1] and the Pan-Arabic League soon intertwined in a bloody war against one another. The EF-PAL War resulted in a limited nuclear exchange and the collapse of both PAL and EF.

After the Middle Eastern War and the destruction of Europe and Russia, China and USRA (FWSR is worth mentioning as well) remains as the two last functional superpowers in the world. Both are squabbling for the power that the EF had left them. In 2060, China invades Siberia, securing their oil fields from the already dying Russian Empire. Meanwhile USRA expands to the Caribbean, annexing various states in the process and worsening their relationship with China.

FWSR still exist after decades of stagnation. Although the only de-facto states under FWSR are limited only to the British Isles (Canada is later annexed by USRA). Meanwhile, Brussels Pact also remains, so, France remains divided. The Brussels Pact forms the European Commune, and expand eastwards to what once known as the Eurasian Federation.[2]

Third Red Scare happens in China, as they feared the Red Eagle rearming and marching across the Pacific to give them hell. Nanjing becomes paranoid, and starts to invade politically unstable neighbors such as Indochina, Korea, and the Philippines to prevent a communist takeover. Meanwhile the rest of Southeast Asia is under pro-Chinese military government. India itself is invaded briefly, but seeing the chaos and instability that they just made by foolishly invading overwhelmingly populated state, the Chinese retreats and puts a friendly military leader in charge.

With the Alaskan oil reserve run dry, USRA is on the brink of collapse in 2066, as the economy of the communist state was dependent to a much greater degree on fossil fuels than that of the China. With China unwilling to export its own reserves of crude oil, USRA had become more aggressive in its negotiations. Adding further insult to the world crises, the first crude fusion cell developed for the power armor project was revealed to the Chinese public in the summer of 2066.

In desperation, USRA launched an invasion of Siberia, Mexico, and Hawaii at the tail end of 2067 and early 2068 to seize its oil reserves[3]. This daring military operation marked the beginning of the Sino-American War. The initial offensives under General William Johannes is able to push the Chinese away from the Bering strait, and the surprise attack on Hawaii by the Americans crippled the Third Chinese Fleet. However, due to resource shortages, both sides in Siberia is constantly fighting on trenches and stalemate is pretty much common in this front.

The game will soon change however, with the development of early power armour in 2068 by China. Designated Model 45, it was a crude construction. However, its ability to wield heavy weapons with ease greatly increased the firepower and mobility of Chinese troops, allowing them to counter American infantry, and even tanks[4]. After the first suits are deployed in January 2068, USRA rushes to create its own versions but is unable to come up with a counter (at least for now, they're counting on robotic infantry). The crude nature of the armour only allows for stabilizing the front. The situation devolves into a stalemate rapidly, once again. General Zhong Chen and his command of the newly formed power armour units became instrumental in stabilizing the front and even retaking land from the Red Eagle.

The War is effectively nothing but useless. China had the manpower needed to invade the continental USRA, but can't do so with naval limitation. USRA meanwhile, had the naval supremacy, but didn't have the manpower and advance technology such as the power armour, only relying on stealth suits, stealth ships, drones, and robots[5].
