Beautiful as always is the lovely ^ hesitation . You just can't go wrong using her as a model. Lucky you I suppose.
I love the framing of this shot. It's up close and personal and really captures her tenderness. Her pose is lovely and I get the feeling she's deep in thought, which is sort of peaceful. Another thing I noticed right away is her eyes. For some reason they seem to demand more attention than anything else. I don't know if it's the soft reflection of them or her very detailed eyelashes, but I love it.
As far as the lighting goes, I really like how she does seem to glow in the light (obvious from the title). At the same time, I wonder if you should've captured more skin tones rather than showing her in a pale white light. I suppose that was your call, but I wonder if this would look better if I saw her true flesh color.
Great work, great subject, and wonderful lighting regardless. Keep the hesi shots coming!

Anyway, to the photo.
I really like the concentrated look on her face, that warm glow you just get from this.
And the lighting from the softbox is realy sensitive, soft silky on her face.

How did you get that angle? Was the camera angled at all or did she lean over the softbox?

softbox was on the floor. she was leaning over it so that her hair would fall down like that.

Wicked composition. It's simple, with the single softbox lighting here. In a way one could see the light illuminating Alina, but here I totally see her coming out of the light, like an angel ... reinforced by the darkness surrounding her. It's definately not a 'negative' darkness though.

hi there! the lighting setup was very simple. it's just a softbox, on the ground, pointing upwards. hesi looked down into the softbox while i took the photo.
