Description
I did a fashion shoot to promote a new line of clothing called Sartoria Fimignari. This is one of the couture gowns to be shown in the launch of the line. Light is provided by two strobes fitted with grids to create a spotlight effect. One is in front to the left, and the other is behind to provide a bit of definition from the black background. I adjusted the color temperture and saturation in Capture One.Related content

Well done! The light is very specular, but you dont lose shadow detail. I'm guessing you meant her skin tones to be washed out as it is, which works well, and makes the image almost like a painting, or vector rather than a photograph. Very high-fashion, indeed.

there were a lot of shots in this shoot... i think my philosophy for fashion shots is to show the clothes, but to emphasize the mood and communicate the overall style, which may be more or less about the clothes

the only thing that slightly distracks me is the piece of gold material in the middle at the very bottom

What I really like about this one is the subtly of the whole thing - nothing feels too staged or 'fake' and the resultant image works so well as a result of that.
