Honestly, you could say that this universe itself is an antagonist.

The Grim-gaunts universe is a cold, empty, lifeless, and pointless universe. Its an endless void with antimatter shards
and storms that constantly churn and brew. At the center of this chaos is a massive antimatter storm that could swallow up billions of Milky Way size galaxies. This storm rotates at insane speeds, "similarly to the storms on gas giants." Over time this storm rotates the entire universe. It stays active by drawing in and annihilating all the positive matter although it would take quadrillions of years for it to effect all the universe. You could say that if it were not for this one giant storm that this universe may never have even existed. The storm creates other much smaller storms which in turn creates the Grim-gaunts and basically everything else known.

All light in this universe comes from the antimatter storms as they annihilate the positive matter. What looks like stars are actually powerful explosions that last for thousands of years.

Unlike our universe which will eventually end when all stars die being replaced with black holes that will eat up the universe. The Grim-gaunts universe will never EVER die. Eventually the antimatter shards will return to being just antimatter and the storms will then just make more shards. As long as This universe exists so shall the endless and pointless war between the three sexes of Grim-gaunt that live their. Other primitive life Does exist but their importance is that of a Gnat. An Endless never dying universe that exists for no reason or purpose.

What caused this chaos? Was it made at the same time as our universe? Perhaps from the negative energy from the Big Bang? Like a negative from a photograph. Or perhaps this universe has always been. Whatever the case, Even if this universe has no ambition for life, its greatest and most infamous Grim Gaunt shall play a vital role in events that take place in our own universe. Their Universe has given us a taste of what it can offer. A gift, and a curse. its legacy, its daughter. Vexus.
