Description [Edit] Updated the Calc so that you can now Right click on the output line and Copy/Paste to it.
[/Edit]

So I took one of my original apps back from when i was learning vb6, and i added in the "aero" routine.

Sadly enough, the text on the buttons is also Aero, because in vb6 you cant change a button's forecolor.

not to big of a drawback though.

I may end up making a collection of Aero Acessories, and bundle them together as one download.

I think a notepad, this, the aerocommand, and an aero run prompt.

Check out this for an example of what can be done with AERO. It's an AERO Notepad. This is C++ I think, but requires .NET Framework to be installed.

If your AERO calc has scientific mode I'll use it everyday!

Are you going to recode it with new features? (Like a Windows 7 look)

I tried using the DwmExtendFrameIntoClientArea API to glass the default calculator (I got the hWND with FindWindow API) but the same problem occurs - text transparency!

The API is like Vista (buggy OS and buggy API). Hope they will fix it in Windows 8!

i was told to use a WPF form and the black text would not be a problem any more. I never tried it, but i just thought i would pass the information along to you.

only way to make tekst non transparent
in some scripts its to make him white in the shellstyle.dll but then you need dark buttons

Please use compatible text rendering on the buttons and on the output text
The compatible text rendering is just a property of the buttons, and the text above must be drawn with a GraphicsPath including the string object (the output).

SuprVillain In reply to PacMani [2010-01-09 18:19:57 +0000 UTC]

/as i said in the original post, the text on the buttons is a flaw in MS's commandbutton control, there is no forecolor property to assign to it, it does not exists in vb6.

The output is just a text control, masked, there is no graphics path with that control, inface, there is not grpahicspath what so ever. i have set both of the font to calibri, due to font smoothing and rendering.

You must be used to .net programming.

Yeah oops. I thought it was .NET I totally forgot some VB restrictions / and advantages

Yeah, that was MS's lack of foresite on that one.
