Doesn't seem to be working, unfortunately. I have Windows 7 SP1 and all it did was cause my pinned icons to move a little to the left behind the start button.

ya i tested it a little bit ago. it didn't work properly. I'm not sure if it was due to me using themes with modified .msstyles though. it simply didn't center the icons. instead it put them to the left of the start menu button for some odd reason.

Looks really cool, but can you make it work on nVidia Surround multimonitor set (i.e. really wide screen)? My resolution is 5760x1200 and an annoying effect of Surround is that all app icons are on the far left on the task bar. I'd love to have them aligned in the center of the middle screen. But when I try to set the position using your app, it crashes instantly saying:
Run-time error '6':
Overflow
Center.txt file contains only this " 43200 "
Could something be done ebout this? I can't use DisplayFusion since Windows can see just one big screen, not three separate screens.
PS: Can you also move the Start Orb? I think Windows doesn't support such tweak, but man that would be so cool.
Thank you for what you do!

It should remember the position, but it has this thing with not doing so that i never could figure out.

well the math for the autocenter is screen.width /2 - dock.width /2 and that # should be where the left of the dock is supposed to be. it's very simple, i dont know why others have not made use of it yet... go figure.
I will look in to re-writing the app in .net. A LOT of people seem to still make use of it, so it is justified i guess.

Hey great app, I was led here by your post over @ the win7 forums, I don't mean to criticise but the app doesn't strictly handle this very well. Quote: "expanding and contracting with new apps and old apps, as they are created and terminated" however it does work correctly if you go to the taskbar, right click properties, taskbar buttons: and then click "always combine, hide labels.
I just noticed this that's all, its very minor, but perhaps if you have time you can implement this in an updated version, up to you.
I also want to point out to everyone that this can be very easily done without this app (If a little more fiddly) but the app does make the process quicker and/or easier.
See for yourself:

yeah there need to be better task handlers for it, sadly, at the time, i could not find a way to count the tasks on the bar, and then to apply that math. Currently I am in Linux, so my windows apps days may be a bit limited.

Wish I could edit....
Here is the Config window for me. [link]
Here is the only result I can manage to get.
With this skin, I can't put in a new toolbar and use it to center everything because it makes the taskbar larger, which I am avoiding.
Any ideas why I am getting this result?

Is there any way to center the icons automatically. For the case that you run applications which are not pinned on the taskbar?

Bugged for me running 64bit. Was not centered properly from start. When using the config I had to save it far of to the right to really center the buttons. When I finally got it to center the buttons it get's messed up if I open another window or close a existing one. Shame the app could'nt update the alignment and keep the buttons centered I really like what this app was made to do.

Ok, I think i know whats wrong. When you start the app, it doesnt center the taskbar, right? well, go to the system tray (the "up" arrow next to the connection meter, etc...) and look for a small green orb. Right-click on the orb and choose Config Centering". Up near the top of your screen a small window will show up that has a double-arrow. Normally it starts up in the horizontal-center of the screen. Just double-click the green double-arrow, not the close box, and the taskbar items should re-center thereselves to the center. Doing the arrow saves the information, so it should be right next time you run the app.
