Description Ok, first i need to say two things.
1 > this is XP and Vista compatible.
2 > This is DumpWare. Meaning i am dumping this here.

I May / May not follow up on this, dont hold me to anything.

Ok, now, MoveImpossible does just that, it Moves the Impossible to move objects.

Such as, how you see above, the Start Button is at the Bottom of the right hand corner of a vertical Taskbar, and i moved the time and running apps to the top, even though you cant see them in this pic. I wanted a XP like, pseudo Vista Sidebar, and used the Taskbar to do this.

The effects are not everlasting. reboot, the will be gone. close the open window you just slaved over, poof! gone.

i may, or may not, improve this. knowing my logic for obsessing over thing, i would think that there is a really, REALLY good chance for me to keep on doing so.

This all came about because i think i had an original ide for an original app. to shrink that task bar from taking up all of the space in it's width (when horizontal) or height (when vertical)

sadly enough, it does not do that just yet. hopefully it will, soon.

anyway, this works on a LOT of window objects. If you have ever wanted to manually try moving a tool bar, you can now. hell, almost everything can be moved now.

but remember, effects do not last (i have not implemented a save routine).

have fun.

Oh, and Be Willing to take the time to work with this, this is a fun toy, but it requires time to get whatever your doing "just right". but it is worth it.

Use the HotKeys (Alt + M to Move, Alt + R to Resize, along with there counterparts to stop the effects) and Alt-Tab. simple and easy, really. The MoveImpossible Window HAS TO HAVE FOCUS when doing the ALT+M/R keystrokes, meaning it is best to use Alt-Tab, i would not use the mouse, but it is your call.

Solo

[EDIT:HowTo for Un-Tech Peoples]
it is easier than what you think.
if you want to move something, click on the window title bar on Move Impossible, then push ALT + M at the same time, you will know when it is active becase the caption on the button will change/ BTW, any time you see an underlined letter, that means that you can push ALT+that letter to use that button, instead of having to click on it.

clicking on the buttons with the mouse is generally a no-no for this app.

anyway, once you so ALT+M, the caption will change, and you can use the mouse to move impossible objects around. To STOP moving items around, make sure that Move Impossible has the focus again (Alt+Tab to the window) and press Alt+S to stop the movement, you will know if this worked because the caption on the button will change again, letting you know.

same thing applies for Resize, but it is Alt+R to start the resizing, and Alt+Q to stop it. OH! your mouse HAS to be over the element that you want to resize, over the element, dont click on it. again, make sure that Move Impossible has the focus (Alt-Tab, so that it shows up on top of everything), THEN do Alt+R.

I will add this post in to the main post, incase any one else has any problems with how to use this app. It really IS simple.

this is good...really good. i'm looking for something to move my start menu to the right or somewhere else. and i will need a save option for this. i think that i'm a fan of your apps.

i do plan on eventually doing so, i just would like to get a "shrink / crop taskbar" feature in there before i do the save routine.
