SAIAlza and Leah from Ginsekai no Shoumei
This one is a little bit rushed. It's for the Chinese Valentine's Day (though it's not Chinese-ish at all xD)
I like how the manga is all snowy and silvery but really warm <3 and the couple is cute.

This looks great! The mood is really well set in this piece. You're really good at choosing colors to create a mood! This is just really bright, happy, and cute. ^.^ The expressions are really wonderful and I love the interaction between the two of them. And something I didn't even notice at first glance - the lines are a light gray/blue color! Well done. It's always a stretch for me to go away from lining in black, but you did it quite easily and it looks really great with the piece. The motion is also really well done - the piece keeps the eye moving. I'd also like to say how wonderful the lighting is! I love how the yellows interrupt the blues on the guy's half of the scarf and near his belt. And although the motion is very well done, I think something even more drastic in the sense of motion would've been nice to see in that sense as well~!
If I could critique, I'd say that the skin overall looks a bit yellow (maybe that's just my computer screwing with it) - but maybe shading a little more with redder colors would make it look more natural. Idk though, it manages to really allow the characters to fit with the setting/mood. The shading overall looks a bit quick. Although, again, it may be another mood thing, I would've liked to have seen some tones a bit darker/more refined. The boy's ear-covers seem to stick out because they are the only really dark done in the piece. And last, sort of nitpicky thing is that the girl's mouth looks kind of strange in the way that underneath the teeth, it's all one tone.
Other than those little things though, this is a really successful piece! I think that while my pieces kind of lack impact and are more focused on technique, yours are very impact-heavy. You're very good with composition/moods giving off the exact feel you want. Keep up the great work ^.^

Thanks for the really detailed critique! I just enjoy reading your critiques so much. You actually notice a lot of details that I just did on a whim haha, like the yellows.
About the skin, I often find it hard to choose the right colours for skins when the majority of the picture is cool coloured. So it's not about your computer XDD and I agree with the need of some darker tones. Now i find the boy's ear covers kind of awkward...
Your pieces lack impact? Who told u that O: that's definitely not true. i think the difference is how you put a lot of thought into the concept behind, while I just draw whatever that I come up with... so there's never any deep meaning in my pieces, unlike yours

Haha I think that's the reason why mine lack impact. XD I always get the lowest on impact in all my critiques for some reason D: But I think it's because I'm thinking too much while I draw. Your pieces are really free flowing and I love that about them. ^-^

I think impact is the hardest to achieve among all, that's why. It's not something that you can achieve just by working hard practicing skills. I think it requires some life experience and art sense, which takes time to build up. so it's natural that the score for impact may be slightly lower compared to other items XD doesn't mean it's low.
