Paintool SAI, photoshop, tabletThis one took forever!! Again, a belated birthday present for my friend. The main challenge is the lighting. I think I can still improve a lot on that.
I spent a lot of time and effort on it, and I'm quite satisfied with how it turned out!!

LOL yep I'm feeling exactly the same. From my perspective, communicating in English (online) is so much more efficient as compared to Chinese! But the funny thing is, it also feels kind of nice but awkward to do this, because we started off communicating in Chinese! LOL
Anyway, you have fluent English as well! Where are you from?

Mmmm in my opinion, both English and Chinese are fine, in terms of efficiency xD I feel that Chinese can better express what I want to say though... sometimes I just can't find the right word in English.
I'm from Hong Kong. I immigrated to Canada when I was still a baby and came back when I was 3~4, I wonder if that helped with my English a bit xD

I freakin' love this. First of all, the composition is just amazing!! I love the tilted camera effect!! Not only but this little plants are just too cool!! I love those things and you did a great job stylizing and representing those! In the background, they're especially cool! The lighting is absolutely amazing. The sky is beautiful and the fact that you had enough vision to do something like this is just too cool. The shading is soft, maybe a bit too soft. I'd like to see a little bit of experimental digital shading from you, seeing as you've done a very blended job on your last three or four. However, cell shading wouldn't exactly be an appropriate style for this image. XD The girl's arms look a bit stringy and I think the boy's body shape and shading in the hair could've been a bit more defined. That aside, this is really very cool. The colors are inspiring and the character designs are great! Keep up the good work!

Soft cell shading would work, but I always tend to soften the edges when I colour... I'll try to do more contrasting shading ><
I'm not used to drawing boys...they are so hard to draw OTL I'll continue to practise harder!

This is so beautiful! I love your shading; everything is so soft, and it gives a surreal feeling.

It's gorgeous! *___* I just love the lighting, especially the lens flare between them, it creates a lovely little highlight. My favorite part is the little streaks and balls of light rising from the lower left direction, I think they add a beautiful highlight to her dress, like fireflies. I think you could definitely do some improvement on their hair, maybe detail it just a little more. But other than that, major thumbs up!

It's my first time adding a lens flare effect. It's cool and I've always wanted to try it xD I'm glad that it has a good effect! I understand about the hair part....actually I spent quite a lot of time on it, but the contrast of shades isn't enough so it seems quite plain. Thanks again for the critique :]
