Description A little belated birthday present for Queequegg ! CONGRATS, QUEE! It's an illustration of a scene from her Apriltello fanfic, Life As She Knows It , which is one of my favs.

I struggled so hard with this one you have no idea. At one point I threw it all in the bin and started the color all over again. I wanted to experiment painting with a specific palette, and it took me a while to figure out how to work with just five colors. But here it is now!

Man, I such at color XD For now, at least.

I'm always very admired of your beautiful composition and expressivity, but probably even more, I am absolutely in love with your use of colors and light&shadows: it's always so brilliantly well-balanced, absolutely beautiful and adds levels of "feeling" to the drawing!

Donnie is in love - man, he couldn't hide it if he wanted to (and we all know he doesn't want to).Β  Looks like he's become Mr. Fix-It for April (could it be in more ways than one????).Β  Have to read the fan fic to see what's going on here.Β  Love the soft lighting, just the overall look of this pic is gorgeous.Β  You really nailed April and Donnie.Β  Very well done!
