Come on. You KNOW that Mai's gonna be a great mom later on. A mother is never bored.Got inspired by an image I saw and decided to draw this; I actually think Mai and her kid (Prince Scorpius? Princess Ursa? Someone else? Who knows?).
Will be a lot cleaner and have more defined colors when it's finished.
Mai's design is based on Rufftoon's Fire Lady Mai. She actually looks REALLY good with long hair....
Anyway, Mai belongs to Nickelodeon. Her kid belongs to....her and Zuko. The book is theirs, too.

They have to name the kid Kuzon. It fits with the whole, rebuilding theme. He used to be Aangs friend, Aang used his name, and he's one of the few firenation people we've heard of before the war.

It would be pretty fun to see her learning weapon skills to their child. Though, I may not work so well when being at this age. XD

Oh, Dad might teach him/her firebending outside...Mai would have more fun times. Though, some self-defense might be in order.
Mai strikes me, though, as the type who would willingly give up the warrior's life. She works with knives--somewhere along the line, she has to have come to the understanding of pain and damage. She wouldn't encourage combat...her love of fighting came from her darker side. When she's happier, she never seems interested in combat at all.
But rudimentary self-defense skills are definitely a requirement for Fire Nation nobility. I actually wouldn't be surprised if every Fire Nation woman was assigned combat training in the upper class (knife-throwing, knife-wielding, and basic martial arts primarily, I would say....things that can be deadly, but not visible). Protection for the nobleman that she is married to, or for her own protection and the family's protection. That's how I viewed Mai at first--she was taught because she needed to protect her family. Turns out that it was self-taught, but I wouldn't be surprised if there was mentoring involved, too. It sure came in handy at Omashu.

Mai probably would be a good mother, she wouldn't want her child to grow up as she did, and would encourage creativity and expression. mai looks really sweet and her kid is cute
