Well, the original is called Magic Winx. And their power ups are called Charmix because of their charms that they get for overcoming their own fears.
But then Nick took over and instead called the transformation Charmix, reedoing the whole season 1 and 2 (dubbing season 3 and onwards).

Yeah, I remember the whole mess it created when it first happened! The community was not pleased!
Was just curious as to what people accepted as the "canon" these days if whether or not people still drew original Charmix or just called the first transformation Charmix.

Well, I still call it Magic Winx. Charmix? Meh, I just like the song. But not that I accept that Nick named it Charmix, since their power ups are called Charmix, and it's even more confusing in Nick's season 2 remake.
Like, the power ups never existed..

Me too! I still think of Charmix as a legitimate stage, it's a shame they didn't use it when they remastered the first couple of seasons.
