Just some doodlethings of Cameron because I've been RPing her on Mushroom Grove a fair bit lately and she's always been one of my favourite characters to write for, but I haven't really drawn her a lot. I also kind of wanted the excuse to yap about her because I love her, so excuse the following tl;dr. You can skip to the last sentence if you're not interested, really.I adopted Cameron from ~basi more than two years ago, when she was born to Basi's Tenderfoot and *MAxKhaos 's Maxrunn. She's a sweet little roughhaired blue fawn lurcher with a white face, green eyes and a deaf ear on the left side. She has always been one of those characters for whom the writing always flows effortlessly no matter what (Penny and Wings being amongst the others -- think it's a sighthound thing). I love her idealism and optimism, and the fact that she refuses to give up on anybody. She refuses to believe that her rebellious sister Micca will someday not turn over a new leaf and come home, and she refuses to believe that daddy Tenderfoot and big brother Calib are currently gone for good (which they aren't, but she doesn't know that). I love that she's submissive and sweet and has no problem being on the lower rungs of the pack ranks, but if the situation calls for it she will step in and take the helm. Right now she has done just that, in Tenderfoot's and Calib's absence, and is the main provider for her mother and a new litter of puppies.
That puppy up there is Boo, Cameron's new half-sister, and also a character I've newly adopted. Boo's supposed to be a rebellious arrogant sort, and I was having trouble writing a tryout post for her because I didn't just want her to be another Micca all over again leaving the pack. In the end, Cameron will be the thing that keeps Boo from leaving, because Cameron tells her stories and knows how to deal with her in ways that her mother and brothers don't or can't. Putting Cameron into the picture, the post just flowed. Cameron helps me fix shit, she's awesome like that.

'Lurcher' is a general term for a sighthound x other dog cross, and 'longdog' is a general term for a sighthound x sighthound cross. Neither are breeds, they are general types.
You're still not allowed to make new characters yet, by the way.

I always thought a Lurcher was a sighthound/terrier mix didn't know the name could be applied to other breeds as well.
Er... when I meant adding lurchers and longdogs to my character list I meant my personal list of NON-MG characters. It's a project I've been working on for a while now.

Lurchers are still quite commonly used to hunt rabbits in the rural UK. The most common lurcher types are greyhound x terrier and greyhound x collie, though yes the name can be applied to any sighthound cross as far as I know. I believe 'longdog' can alternatively be used to mean any sighthound breed or type.
Which one would that be? You seem to have plenty of characters of all types.

As for the list, it's for a series I'm working on. I've also been looking into self publishing. But anyway my animal character list consists of name, gender, age, breed and the year that paticular character was created.
This is mostly so I can keep track of who's who.

Boo is cute. Like, unexplanably adorable and I just want to squish his grumpy wee behind and I don't care if he doesn't like it.
My fave has to be top right corner. Adorable face. Such lovely sighthoundy eyes! And who doesn't love a bit of scruff? And I'm just going to stop spilling gushing explosion comments everywhere now

Awwwah! Wee female bossy britches. Which colour-scheme did Boo get? (I should be unlazy and just go on MG /fail), she's gonna be a wee stunner with that sheepdog in her, I can feel it

She's mostly white with black patches. :3 She and her two brothers are the result of Max getting unfortunately assaulted and knocked up by Boris, Kas' buttface of a borzoi guy. :[

it's not really a character sheet, just a bunch of random sketches. I'd put more information on a character sheet and detail her markings.
