Finally finished it. This is a paper cut portrait of Link from The Legend Of Zelda series, my most favourite game series ever. The is the colour version of the same picture already in my gallery, I was going to do a coloured version of it eventually and now I have. The bottom layer is white and the second and third layers are a mix of colours (2 shades each) separated into sections where that colour would be. Check out the progress pictures in my gallery. The last layer is the black which has the most of the cutting. Really happy with the result and now I have the task of which frame to put it in. Hope you like it, comments welcome.Related content

This is pretty spectacular.Β Interesting layering technique with the order of the layers and your cuts are beautifully executed. There is some real magic happening in the tie to his shirt as well as the hilt of his sword.Β

Take it you like it then?Β Β I'm very happy with how this turned out, I had a break from doing these and nearly forgot about the satisfaction I got when completing them. I have several portraits to do for friends at the moment but afterwards I'm thinking of going for some Marvel. So happy you like it so much, thank you.

Yeah, even I was surprised with how good this turned out. Definitely keeping this for myself. There are many downsides to using colour paper though, like working out where the different sections of colour go and actually getting hold of the right coloured paper in the first place. It all pays off in the end. Thanks for the fave by the way.Β

I thought for sure the black was the background until I read the comments. Dang.. Haha. This is amazing. I did one of these for school (a self portrait) and well mine didn't turn out very nice. But this is really great. The details are amazing.. I might be inspired to give it another try sometime. Maybe...Β Β anyways!! I love it!!Β Great job!
