Description Under the leadership of William Adams, the LSWR produced a series of 4-4-0 passenger engines for mainline work. Two of these engines were the T3 and X6 4-4-0s. Both were used on the LSWR's services out of major stations such as Bournemouth. Both designs were inherited by the Southern Railway, but none lasted into nationalization. One T3 is preserved, but no X6s are.

Note that the X6 has a Drummond boiler.

Good thing that the T3 is being restored to full working order again
Currently his boiler and firebox are being overhauled at the Swanage Railway
