8D I love the motion of this one! The Swooping forward motion and also the snake-y side to side like watching a ball bearing rolling up one side and down the other but still forward... or like a roulette wheel >w<

Definitely! I really like how the waves and lights came out too! And thank you for the comment!

Reminds me of a mushroom trip I had once.

Beautiful!
I see what you mean in calling it more "abstract art" - in truth, that's what fractal flame art is since real fractals are stuff with infinite detail, like Mandelbrots and Mandelbulbs. I'm not sure how the names became associated other than they are both "math art", even though the art in real fractals is observed as a consequence of the math and fractal flame art is designed to be that way.

As for your work here, I think you have a better grip on what you're doing than you let on. I see boarders2 here, I want to say some linear maybe, a distance blur filter (which implies you preserved the z and rotated the camera - some nice control holding down the mess that usually occurs preserving the z, I might add), and I can't tell what you are using for the swirls (though it reminds me of both one of the sine functions and hankerchief) nor do I recognize the bright spots (but they look like they are from a ray transform), although it seems strikingly similar to what you did in Diskmos (swoopswatkill.deviantart.com/a… .
Excellent job!

Sorry for all the replies...But I keep reading over your comment, and I question how exactly I made this. Now that I think of it, I did not zoom in on this fractal; I just moved it over a lot to bring forth what you see here! The depth of field was with the focal point shifted over +1 or so on the x-axis (I think; I am terrible with maths ). Anyway, it was carefully crafted to give the illusion of proper DoF. I understand very little of "z" things, but I know it is the 3D axis!

Oops, just realized DoF and distance blur are the same thing! As well as I believe those "lights" and waves came from a cylinder/noise variation!

Well, to be honest, this started from a random "Splits" flame...MutaGen, MutaGen, MutaGen...Back and forth to the editor, preserving the good mutations and weeding out the bad. It's actually quite easy to will a creation from just preserving what's already there that looks "good." Anyway, I can for certain say that boarders2, splits, spherical, and few linear variations were on here (I think anyway ), and the others I don't particularly remember. I know there were a few other transforms involved, as well as a few final ones. This is actually "half" of a fractal (it still maintains that spherical, splits mentality). I zoomed in on it (camera_z), rolled it, and I added the post "DoF." I haven't really played around with the distance blurring feature! "Diskmos" is another random Mutagen creation! That's a "Splits" looking thing as well too!

And thanks for the kind words! I was really impressed at how nicely this one turned out myself!

Each and every one of your fractals is crafted with such elegance, this is no exception. Yet again, you have stunned me with the beauty of your work.

Awww, thanks so much! I try to do my best with what knowledge I do have. I consider myself more a photographer than anything, yet I don't really take many pictures either. And thank you for the support, always!

Haha yeah, it's the only version I have on my computer where I work, and we have blocked internet access. It's totally something I shouldn't be doing while working anyway!
