Description "That's not what I think it is...is it?"

What started as a joke turned into an (almost) serious creature for my Sci-Fi world.
---------------------------------------------

The Charger Beetle, a commonly avoided inhabitant of the Mid-Lands. Under normal circumstances, these hunters would be a frightening foe to run into, but due to being listed as the creature that gives "The Most Frighteningly Embarassing Death" they are feared even more.

Often referred to as "Cock Chargers" or "Dick Beetles" (By the more juvenile-minded, of course), the Charger Beetle does, in fact, attack with its genitalia. The male of the species is a highly territorial breed whose main weapon, is its genitals. These fierce beasts gain both their titles by using their signature attack, a galloping charge which often results in prey being impaled on their penis.

Being carnivorous, the Beetles are actually known to hunt down and kill prey as well, making them the most terrifying sexual insect in the world and, as mentioned above, being able to hand out the most frighteningly embarassing death.

Various Facts:

- Females obviously lack the protruding organ, as well as the webbed crown.
- Charger Beetles can run at speeds reaching 14 miles an hour.
- Charger Beetles can live for up to 57 years.
- Charger Beetles can also use their legs to crush or stab foes.
- Charger Beetles can reach 7 feet in height, and can weigh up 500 lbs.
- Charger Beetles have very thick armor, and can resist many types of weaponry.
- Charger Beetles are herd-structured animals, and can be found roaming the plains of the Mid-Lands in massive groups reaching up to 40 members.
- Charger Beetles, among others, are often captured and used in the Gladiator Arenas located at the south end of the Mid-Lands. No one has ever survived past two rounds in this arena.
- The bumps on a Charger Beetles' legs are used to track prey. They can detect subtle scents in the air.
- To mate, Charger Beetle males stab females in the thorax, and pump in their "juices".
- It isn't uncommon for a raging, hormone filled male to attack villages.

Threat Level: High - Very High

A really cool looking creature, despite the comical backstory. I like that the description acknowledges the fact that death by Charger Beetle is quite humiliating.

Yeah, really wanted to find a way to fit it into this "universe", but while still making it as ridiculous as it is. Glad to see that worked XD And yeah, that part I found necessary to add.
