Venus flytraps have a few little "trigger hairs" along their inner surface. If a fly or spider brushes up against one, it does nothing... but hit two in twenty seconds, and the trap snaps shut around its new meal.
I found a clip from a David Attenborough narrated show on venus flytraps, and I've never felt so much sympathy for flies before. XD The sad, frantic little buzzing as the traps snapped shut on them... poor guys. C'mon flytraps, the flies are outside where they belong! Why can't you kill the ones that get into my apartment?
