remember that time at your house here? when your dad saw my homemade fireworks, got all nervous (thought about calling A.T.F on me), and said i couldn't set those off. then after about twenty minutes thought i was gonna blow up the propane tank in the back yard? *laughs* awe, good times in texas. awesome strip by the way, congrat to the marine man and his hilarious wife and their little bundles of cuteness. i always liked him, good to know we think alike.

i was fighting a hell of a cold, dealing with insurance/car lean holders, had a big ass family reunion, banged angryily on the closed fireworks stands' doors, because i couldn't stock up ths year. san angelo and most of texas being a tinder box waiting to go up made fireworks illegal to have, sell, transport, or be around at all. so i had to hide my remaining stash from family that wanted to set them off. i did mention to you that i hit and ran over a deer last month right? it totalled my saturn and messed me up for a day and a half. i'm still trying to get everything settled on that.

I got a few texans talking about the dry spell - yikes! Glad no one caused any raging fires. And yeah, I remember the story about the deer - isn't insurance supposed to cover something like that?

well it helps if the insurance agent doesn't go on vacation the day after she takes the processing of my claim. she said they just need one thing they had faxed to the lean holders to clear up ownership and cut a check. then she faxed the paperwork to the wrong fax number. after three "could you call them? they haven't sent it back and blah blah blah." come to find out that she was faxing the to the wrong number. when i started calling and asking people what was takeing so long, things got resolved in 15 min. it's been over a week with no progress. i got everything sorted out yesterday. now i have to wait for the check, shop for a new car, get over being sick before i can go see my new nephew (my older sister mary had a little boy yesterday @7:00a.m by the way. he's cute as hell from the pics my mom took. i've got a sore throat so i'm not gonna chance getting the little guy sick.

the insurance lady called me earlier today to say she still hadn't recieved the form. so i called, got the office manager, she found all four filled out forms in the ladys' "in" box. dumbass didn't check her freaking in box. if she had, this would have been taken care of last week.
i feel better, but i have before and got sick again the next day, so i'm gonna wait til wed. to go see my new nephew.

*insert snarky comment of marines here* Ok I can say happy Independence day, but no way I'm giving an inch for "Reed JΓ€gers"(our less than friendly nick name for our marines here, officially they are Coastal JΓ€gers).

If it's fun, it's illegal. (pretty much. no i'm not exaggerating, it's not like it's an abuse of executive power or the 10th Amendment a;lkjshdflkajsdhlkfajs )

Congrats to your brother-in-law~!!
I saw this fireworks festival with one of my host families, and they had heart shaped fireworks! I was surprised that you could even do that!?

K9-The-First In reply to manga-princess-izumi [2011-07-04 14:27:47 +0000 UTC]
Oh yeah, it's all in the arrangement of these particles called "Stars" in the firework. And hearts aren't all. You can make planets, smilies, and if you get the colors right, even pumpkins!

Yes, I guessed that hehe ^ ^;
I just found it more surprising than usual considering the festival wasn't around any sort of days about romance at all. It was just a fireworks festival for one district; my other host families didn't even know about it and they lived in the same city.
