"Yeah, I was there! Those two slaughtered the other teams. She did this killer spike for the game point against those two guys from up the beach. I thought they were going to cry, getting beat by a couple of girls!"

"... But she doesn't really look like someone who can do that, you know?"

"Well, yeah..."

Priya, aware that the two people on shore had no idea she could hear them over the surf, leaned back against the rock and turned her face to the sun. "I ought to take the Lt Cdr up on that drink offer, but what to wear..."

P.S. - Priya long ago got used to people underestimating her based on her appearance (as well as the scandal about who her real father might be), and has turned it to her advantage. As a diplomat-in-training, she knows that concealing one's true strength until the opportune moment can do more to catch an opponent off-balance than any upfront show of strength/ability.

Though she will admit to deriving pleasure from the looks on people's faces once they realize that she's defeated them by exploiting their assumptions.
