Description
This was for the excellent 'zine Fang, Claw & Steel; I wanted to have some brand-NEW pics for it instead of the usual submission of stuff-I-already-did. I had NO time, though, so I drew it and touched it up, scanned, and colored it at lunch. Thus, the anatomy, lighting, and details aren't 100% accurate.

This one's a variation on the type of big-cat shapeshifter I usually do; generally I prefer to give my creatures more animal-like shoulderblades because they're usually quadrupeds, but I caught myself with my arms hunched up in the mirror one morning (I was stretching my back), and, looking down on my freckled/spotted hands, I had a flash of inspiration. The head is bigger than a typical leopard's - more room for a bigger brain.

Incidentally leopards usually only have open-rosette-spots on their body and tail; on the lower legs, head, and underside of the body the spots are usually solid, or almost bar-like at times. I tried to stick to that but I did give in to artistic license occasionally.
