Quick (2 hour) drawing when I was too tired to study.Charcoal, cotton buds.

Nice! I like the composition with the figure filling the page and the sense of space the surroundings give her. The proportions look good, as does the foreshortening. You have a good range of values here, but i would like to see more contrast. Itβs a very good piece of work!

that's awesome!! but i have to know.. do you use a reference for those kind of drawings or do you just remember the proportions?! for some reason i can't get proportions down =[

I use a reference, though I 'spose it helps to do ones of females quickly that I can draw the proportions pretty accurately without a reference, what with looking at the subject matter everyday in the mirror..

when you draw whole bodies do you start with the outlines or do you do a sketch with the joints and stuff? i always take forever on just trying to make it look like is a normal person or not a midget or some supper skinny thing!
