I would pay $100.00 for a moth. I will buy this one if she is for sale. Please let me know.

Hey. I'm really sorry but I haven't made any for sale.
I hope to re-sculpt the body in 3D and have it 3D printed one day as my current method isn't suitable for production.
It's great to know that you're interested though! If I do get around to producing these for sale, I will let you know!

I really love this moth and I would gladly pay 125.00 for her as she is . I do understand what you are saying about the glue and all but that does not matter to me. I would keep in her in curio as she is and if anything happened to her I would repair it myself. I hope you change your mind and sell her to me. I would take great care of her.
Thanks,
Rhonda

Hey. Sorry if I'm slow to get back to you; very busy these days!
I've taken the moth down from storage. I'll try and get around to figuring out international postage, etc over the weekend.

I thought about selling them, but that wont happen anytime soon unfortunately. I really need to learn 3D printing...
thanks for the interest :D

Thankyou :) I'll let you know if I do. I'm working on another model at the moment and I have an idea for some Christmas decorations... but I can't say that I'll sell them (apparently my entrepreneurial streak isn't paired with any business sense.)

that is cute. I've never wanted a rabbit/bear/dog/cat plushie. But shrimp, isopods, bats, flamingos, moths... I've seen some cute ones.

RavenDiablo In reply to Tabon [2016-09-24 15:03:30 +0000 UTC]
Oh yeah, I am big on 'different' plushies. No dogs or cats for me either. I do have a couple of teddy bears, but those are mostly family heirlooms. For me I have plushies of a dove,..a ram, the aforementioned moth, a crab, a large bat, a chameleon, and a stingray. The stingray is particularly cute as when you push it's head, it squeaks . I have a Monarch butterfly on the way as I don't have a butterfly as of yet.
Yeah, I know it seems kind of strange for an adult, father of two still collects plushies. But I do have twin boys and they often mess around with my plushies. Certain ones are off limits though, particularly if I bought them in a special place as a memento. The stingray for one. That one sits on top of my computer tower along with the crab...so it doesn't get lonely . LOL! Yeah, I know, I am weird.

to each their own! I'm a 24 year old female and I have a 33kg vertical grip bar and two 7kg dumbells in my room; a sickle, foil, two axes and a crowbar; several skulls and skeletons; industrial chains; carnivorous plants and collectable toy robots among other things... screw stereotypes.
As plushies go, I have a childhood toy frog that used to go everywhere with me and a Bert ('The Trapdoor') a sentimental gift from my sister. I haven't managed to throw away a bat and a frog sand animal either. I think they're in the depths of my wardrobe somewhere with my Megablox dragons, keyring sharks and Jurassic Park figurines.

The two robots I have are from Ashley Wood. www.google.co.uk/search?q=ashl… ; I'm a sucker for distressed metal.
That's a lot of dragons.
I expect Smaug is expensive..if purely for brand value.

Hmmm, those robots are very different, but interesting. Given your love for distressed metal, I would assume you are a big fan of Steampunk, huh?
Yes, I DID say, with me, when you mention dragons...you are entering a realm that is laced with dragons. Yes, I am definitely a dragon lover. I like all types whether they are good like Toothless or Evil, like Smaug. I like them mean and nasty as well as docile and even sweet looking...like those from the Lego Elves line. I have to say that it is A LOT of fun building dragons out of Legos.
Yes, you are correct. That Lego Smaug dragon belonged to a set called 'The Lonely Mountain'. I didn't particularly like the set because it actually doesn't do a good job at depicting the Lonely Mountain from The Hobbit. Apparently others must feel the same way as collectors usually by the set and bust it up to sell it for the figures and Smaug. The set went for $129.99. It went down to about $119.99. I was waiting for it to go on a $99 closeout just when they were discontinuing the set, but my timing was off and I missed the boat. Now the set sells for $170 and even higher...which I am not going to pay that. Out of the set, Smaug alone sells for $90. Needless to say for $90, I would build my own version of Smaug and it probably will be twice the size of that one. All the better too because Smaug is HUGE!

To be honest, I really don't like steampunk xD the brass and leather and excess cogs doesn't do it for me. I'm more into derelict factories, pipes, etc. If I had to squash all my personality traits into one category, I suppose you could say I am an ex rivethead.
yeah, definitely brand value. These days I don't collect things, and I'm glad; my room and my wallet are quite small.
Good luck on getting your Smaug!

Oh, Ok. I figured you would be into it. So you are more for old abandoned buildings?
We have an abandoned military base here on Long Island called Camp Hero. It is a pretty large site with many abandoned buildings. The main one being a large tower with a huge radar dish on top of it. Check this out:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=5rzbEq…
and this one too:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=KmGrSf…
The tower is close to the end on the second video. The view up there is fantastic.
Yeah, I don't have a huge spending budget either, so naturally I look for deals.
Thanx! I might have to end up doing a brick built version as there is no way I am spending $90+ for the actual one.
