thankyou! My tutor wanted me to minimalise them into black and white silhouettes... personally I thought that defeated the idea D:/ other tutors agreed with me

I love how inaccurate the dinosaur has to be in terms of anatomy to make it heraldic XD
Also that jelly fish is ADOREABLE. I'd love it as an ornament to decorate a part of my clothing

xD it was far worse before that.. it looked like some strange skink. I never pictured you with a Jellyfish ornament xD I was also thinking that staff working in particular pre-historic period houses could wear these as a badge to identify where they're working.
Thankyoou!

SO MUCH DETAIL. My mind. It hurts. But in a good way. Its a good mind hurt.
That's one sexy ass tree too and that awesome dinasaur looks an awful lot like the precarnation (is that even a word?) of the philosoraptor. He looks like he's about to start philosophising the situation at any moment.
Either that or give him a santa hat and he becomes the velocisanta...

I can't remember what dinosaur I used for reference there .-., I googled velocisanta.. thinking it would exist, but, I found cheerful uncle tyrannoclaus: [link]

I think Velocisanta is a creation of my wonderfully normal friend who had to do an animated christmas card.
Dear old uncle tyrannoclaus looks like he may be getting on in years...

Loving the jellyfish one, is it based on a certain type or is it a mishmash of different ones?

To be honest, I just googled "prehistoric jellyfish" and found this: [link] I have no idea what jellyfish were around at that time :/

Me likes. Though, the tree looks way too much like an angiosperm and I think a vendobiont, like arangeomorph or Dickinsonia would be more appropiate for the precambrian, I'm not even sure if there were jellyfish like that already.

I didn't really have a reference for a tree. I admit I slacked a bit in research terms when it came to the Carboniferous and the Precambrian symbol.. I don't know what sort of jellyfish were around.

And the carboniferous icon can be conveniently changed by applying cross-hatching on the bark to make it look more like Lepidodendron.

don't you just love it when things are that easy? xD I kept reading that as Leoplurodon ( spelling ) first..

Okay, looks like I was wrong on the jellyfish part. Still, the rangeomorphs would be a much more iconic creature for that time, since jellyfish were around all the time after.

fair enough. I chose the jellyfish also because it looked fun to draw xD

Rangeomorphs would be quite interesting because they have fractal growth.
