Death of a Paladin (II): The Hand of God Made Still

That is the complete title, but of course Deviant Art won't let me put the whole thing. Anyway, this is an oldy of mine, but I still like the illustration. The MMI below the signature stands for 2001 for those of you who are not as keen on using roman numerals whenever possible.

Anyway, this is a recent rescan for better resolution. It was original posted on Elfwood, but they have been jacking me around, which explains why I'm here. Thankfully it survived the fire. A lot of my other works did not.

It is worthy of note that there is an illustration out there called "Death of a Paladin." I will upload it once I have a suitably high resolution picture to please you with. Its uncommonly wide, though, so... it'll be hard to really appreciate on the screen. The other illustration will help this one make more sense... and no, its far from anti-religious.
