Description Our first project for Costume Design class was a series of designs off of words. No color, nothing like that. And, we had to use her stock figure for the pose and everything, so that's why they all look alike.

This one had to personify angular in the garment design.

I honestly, honestly tried to start with something normal. I really did try. But, this fantasy thinger just happened Ah well. I like it. It's my "left handed" archer, because the shoulder guard is on the wrong side, I realized later. To fix it, however, I would have had to have redrawn just about everything, because I liked how the lines worked out... ah well... I suppose I could just flip it, but I'm not going to. You'll just have to deal.

I just love the idea of weaving everything and creating layers out of the stuff. And that corset would be awesome to have, but that's just me.

So, here is the "Left-Handed Lord of the Rings Rejected Archer"

(c) 2008 Samantha Lemieux

If you would like to color these, feel free to, just let me know in a comment or something with a link - you can note me for a higher-resolution file, too.

a fellow deviant has wrote some very nice settings for places and people.. and has come up with this intriguing idea for clothing..
would u like to take a look at her setting and perhaps come up with a set of clothes to match it?

I think it would be a pain to make, but so much fun~ I doubt I'd get to actually make it, but I'd like to someday

Nothing wrong with left handed people. If anything, I think it makes this one a bit different and far more interesting.

Depending on how the other color job goes, I might have to give this one a shot. I am still trying to get a hold of coloring with my tablet. After 20 years of paint and pen, digital is a huge step for me.

I suppose - Tolkien needed some left-handed archers, too!

I know what you mean - coloring in general is really hard for me to do (always been an ink person) and digitally, it's murder. I'm going to upload another picture I did, and it took me *weeks* to do XP Stupid weird confusing technology I hope you get a handle on it, though

Thank you! I still love this design (the shoulder thing is my fav part, next to the skirts!) it's just a little wonky, and that was the name we built for it in class

Thank you
