Working on making things again, just trying to get the knack of living, basically. So, not wanting to spend a fortune for supplies, or go and tear apart some kimono to sew with, I started thinking small. I saw some decorative pins in a shop about a year ago, and I fell in love with them, and have been meaning to make my own for some time now.Well, as a typhoon was coming through, I decided to give it a go, since I couldn't play games (was too afraid we'd lose internet mid raid!) I started sketching. And, of course, my snow bunnies wound up being the main topic! So I ran with it! These little guys are coated in clear resin, making them really durable, and attached to the tops of sewing pins, making them perfect for quilting and the like! They're small, maybe only 1cm (1/3") high, but perfect for grabbing on to.
I have so many more ideas planned, and I might make these as a special order type thing, or maybe just as earrings, since they'd make perfect studs, too! Either way, I'm enjoying getting to draw again, and work that into the stuff I'm making, even if it is just little, kawaii things.
