The first image, hot off the presses, of the leather journals I've been making the past few weeks that I just got to take pictures of!

This is the first of the Steampunk journals, featuring a beautiful motif, gears and clock hands. This is all made from 4-5oz veg-tanned leather that is embossed, tooled, antiqued and sealed. The color of this one is a darker, mocha brown.

The book on the inside is a lined journal that can be replaced when you fill it up, so that it's always ready to jot down notes, ideas, inspirations or notations. It's also small enough to fit comfortably in your back pocket. They close with a leather thong tie, in the style of vintage expedition notebooks.

Each and every one of these is different, as I make them more on a whim of placing the gears and details based on my mood, feelings, or natural variations showing in the hide, and that doesn't even mention the staining process which always yields different results! No two could ever be alike.

If you are interested in these, I should have them listed when I reopen my Etsy store shortly - I just need to finish editing all of the photos (about 150 in total, for all of the journals ) I figured I'd share this with you now, just because I'm so happy with how the photos turned out!
