Also you know I am trying to be writer from kids books and adults books and some of the kids books I am writing are Untold stories of certain Characters we all grew up with like Peter Pan The Grinch Jack Frost Robin Hood and Shere Khan from the Jungle book and recently hit me that I can't Believe I did not think of writing a Untold story of about The Beast before he become the Beast like I could have added a Untold story about this Prince who loses his parents and is raised buy the staff and when he a teenager he gets  turn into a Monster that becomes the Beast for the Fairy Tail but because they making alive action movie of Beauty And The Beast I am wondering if I should add that to the list because I herd a rumor they going to show the Beast back story in the movie.

Sorry this is a very delayed reply but anyways...

I doubt Mrs Potts was looking for that long, maybe fifteen minutes but when you are a mother trying to find your children every second feels like an eternity and she was probably quite frantic by the time Beast noticed and went to help her.


After watching the live action film I do have to say that yes, that film gives the Beast/Prince a tiny bit of a backstory and also if you haven't noticed them Disney has published a couple of other books... they have "A Twisted Tale"-series where there is a book called 'As Old As Time' that tells another version of BatB and gives Beast (and the Enchantress who cursed him) a lot more backstory.  It has no relation to the animated film or the live action one though except that the characters and enough lines of dialogue are lifted out of the animated one to make it seem familiar.   I have read that one and it's pretty good.     There is also another one in a series of books for Disney villains that is about the Beast and supposedly gives him more backstory but I haven't read that one myself- the reviews for it were not very good and they put me off.  There are also countless fan fictions and other works that give Beast some backstory.

I guess what I am trying to say with this is that when YOU write your books you should feel free to write them as you see it and how you think it should go and what backstory someone else has given to the characters already should be irrelevant to yours, these are all old fairytales that have been written down a thousand times already.   You just do your version.

"Faerie Tales" is what I wrote on the book cover so something like that probably.  I still think the tea cups are the most underused factor of Disney's Beauty and the Beast, there was just Chip when they could had have the full dozen.

I know what you mean.  According to the "Beauty and the Beast" (Marvel Comicbooks), in "Lyrical Love" part 2, that Mrs. Potts has 12 children, (Chip, the youngest, is #12)--( img3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20… & disney.wikia.com/wiki/File:Feb… & disney.wikia.com/wiki/Lyrical_… & disney.wikia.com/wiki/Beauty_and_the_Beast_(Marvel_Comics) ).  It was such a waste what they left unused.  When Disney Junior made that attempt to make a BatB TV series ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beauty_a… ), a better idea, I feel, would have been to have Belle reading Aesop's Fables (The Boy Who Cried Wolf, etc.), to the Beast, Chip and his siblings, etc., where appropriate when something happened, you know, where the Fable's moral would have been appropriate?
