I drew this in tegaki again....seems to be a popular thing for me at this moment. This picture took a loooong time to draw, but it was worth everything. Though the butterflies look weird XDAnyway this is Tikal....around seven years old. When drawing this pic, I was keeping in mind of what her grandmother taught her...one of them would be to not be greedy and selfish like her father. So I thought of this quote per say to go with it:
"My dear child...there has been alot of greed in this world. Your father turned to greed after your mother died, and he has used it for evil and selfish things. However through the darkness that your father as turned to, there will always be hope. Tikal, you must turn away from your father's greed for power and look towards the sky. See past the deception of war and greed and look at the world for what it really is. Remember this always my child, for you are the key for a better future of our people"
This inspired me for this pic...like Tikal's grandmother inspired her. Now, she may of never said this, but I believe that is one of her wishes for Tikal and I belive it came true =3

Well, I have an account on an english tegaki website. So I went in there and I wanted to draw Tikal for some reason. However it wasn't easy, because I had to redo the pic so many times XD
I thought I would never get it done...but then I decided to make her look younger and draw a noslotic pic. I tried coming up with a quote of some sort, maybe what her grandmother possibly told her? Either way I based it off of that. I also was playing music to help inspire me (I listened to Tsubasa Reservoir Chronilce OSTs and Tikal's theme from Sonic Adventure to help me)
After getting some inspiration (I find it important to be inspired and be listening to music...it helps XD) I used grey to sketch the basic shapes. Then i went over it in a light orange color because that is Tikal's color. I used the orange to sketch the character. I was basically going for a close up of her body and barely showing her face. I also made Tikal's (um....what do they call it?) "hair" shorter to give her a younger apperance. I used other colors like grey, blue, a very light yellow and other colors to then outline her clothes and accecories. After doing that, I fillled in each section with its respected base color. Then I started the shading process. With things like Tikal's fur color I used a darker orange and red to make it stand out . After that I used lighter colors for highlights.

I believe her grandmother taught her to be selfless and give her good advice...Tikal however took the advice and made it into her own principles...that is how I feel.

Yup, in my personal opinion, Tikal is one of the best female characters in Sonic. I was always facinated with her and Chaos from Sonic Adventure...so I hope to draw more of her~

Whenever I play it, I always have the voices in Japanese...always preffered it. The most interesting thing about Sonic Adventure was Chaos being an antagonist. I liked that he was kind and gentle, and then he did a 180 on his personality and became a villian for the Sonic crew. So you could say I was a bit dissapointed that he was neutralized....I personally felt that making him a villian was more interesting. I also liked Tikal...all of the ancient parts of the game were the best~

I want to play Sonic Next Gen, despite how terrible it is...though I would want to try it with the Japanese VA (I saw the cut scenes of the game in both languages...and the Japanese is alot better! Daisuke Ono as Silver=win

I just started replaying Sonic Adventure again...what fun! I am planning on drawing more Tikal pictures....maybe I will sneak in some Chaos 0 pictures too...I would also love to do my Sonic fancharacters in tegaki form~

I think its because he is a softie again. He was alot more interesting as a villian I think.

I thought that him being a villian was neat, because he changed from what happened to him in the past and he was secretly manipulating Eggman (i think....have to replay game again maybe)

I haven't played of the recent ones (cept for Shadow, Sonic Riders, Sonic Riders ZG and a bit of Sonic Rush and Sonic Rush Adventure) so I wouldn't know what so ever XD
