Yayfulness! Our favourite love cook is now . . . . well, lesse. According to Oda, he's still 19. He's been around for 8 years. So is he actually 27? Ah well, he's sexy regardless.Anyway, had fun with marker and coloured pencil on this one. I think I may permanently switch to Tria markers - slightly more expensive, but I really like them.
Oh yes, and he's drinking ice tea.

I'm trying out markers so I can mix my prismacolor markers with my prisma pencils, and I guess someone else already tried this! lol
Can you please explain to me how you did his feet? Is it just the pencil crayon?

on his feet . . . his feet are grey and black markers, then I wen tover them afterwards with a white and cream prismacolor pencil. Prisma pencil should go on AFTER the marker, or you'll ruin your markers . . . but they don't have any trouble mixing and stuff because markers are ink-based and will soak into the paper while pencils lay on top of the paper. Does that help?

Wow this is really pretty, it's been so long since I have been to your page. I really love this. It looks like water color! Your perspective is perfect. I really love the color of the clouds! I really don't have a favorite part of these peice because it's all wonderful!. I hope whoever you did this for thanked you a million times because I can tell you put a lot of time into this!

The colors in this are positivly gorgeous. The figure's so deeply saturated and bold against a beautifully grained sky and land, but it's especially the sky that holds me here. You angled it for the view of someone leaning back behind him, but the way they're angled reflects the shape of his knees as well. And the leg further away is lighter ^__^ Just wow, beautiful.

yep, I was incorporating all those wonderful things we learn in drawing classes (with the most AWESOME PROFESSOR EVER! . . . er, I mean . . . ) atmospheric perspective, core shadow, cast shadow . . . . . stuff like that. And I just like vibrant colour. It makes me happy.

This is very serene, just looking at it makes me feel peaceful. You've done very well with coloring this and interpreting the flow of light, it's just a joy to look at.
The sky reminds me of a globe, I'm sure it's not supposed to, but it's an interesting effect when you see it that way. Haha.

I realized after a moment it was supposed to be a sunset sky, but the way some of the lines on the clouds are it looks like a map. It's not a bad thing, because you can tell what it is, it's just an interesting crossing of wires.

I think it's just the strong outline, make it a touch softer and I think you have it made. It is a great piece, you shouldn't dwell on that one perceived problem.
