Part of a set I'm working on. I'm working on making 'epic' pictures of the gods and goddesses of Hyrule, in an attempt at showcasing their power.

Here we have Sunare , Goddess of Spirit, guardian deity of the Gerudo, and patron deity of women seeking empowerment. She is most commonly depicted as a beautiful woman wearing the skin of a snake, though a less common image is of her snake form, a desert snake known as the red spitting cobra.

I decided to add on a bit to her design, giving her a portion of hair that is considerably longer (to better match the long hairstyles of the Gerudo). It also served to work with the composition of the image, serving to act as the 'hood' that a cobra would normally show whilst threatened.

I had a lot of fun with the foreshortening with the sword... I must thank ~UndyingNephalim , since I used one of his more recently uploaded pictures as a reference to draw the sword. Though I realize now that I forgot to draw the matching line on the other sword to have them match.

And yes. With the exception of Koboku, all of the gods are still at least partially dressed while in these partially-transformed states. It's more of a personal preference for them.

The Goddess of the Sands, I'm at the Spirit Temple in Ocarina of Time 3DS so I sought this out.

I'm kind of undecided as to whether or not the Sand Goddess is just another aspect of Din, or if it's another god whom Hyruleans simply don't acknowledge since she's unimportant to them.

Koboku will be the only nude one? Raises some questions that ought not to be asked...

But a very interesting design. ^^

Koboku is the only nude one because he doesn't perceive nudity as sexual, and since he is the god of the forest, he is one with nature, so wearing fabric might feel unnatural while he is transforming.

For Sunare, she keeps herself covered because she doesn't like being stared at, and anyone she catches doing so would have their eyes ripped out anyway. For Volvagia and Jabun, they're wearing clothing with special fabric that is used to make the Zora and Goron tunics, thereby enabling them to be more comfortable in such environments. It wouldn't kill them, but it would cause them considerable discomfort being unable to breathe because of water or heat.

*takes a minute to process that* ... Ah. Methinks I get what you mean. In the forest, every creature and tree generally goes about their business in the nude (short of the Kokiri, Skull Kids, and possibly Deku; they appear to wear feathers). And it's far from sexual purposes, for such creatures. After all, even in the Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve were naked, and it wasn't shameful back then. (But it became shameful when they gained the knowledge of the difference between good and evil, apparently.)

Ripped out? Yeesh, that's gotta be worse than gouged out. Also, I wouldn't think a deity to be capable of feeling- welllllll, true. Koboku had great discomfort when Ganondorf infested him with the parasitic Gohma, and Volvagia's figure was tainted and twisted and gnarled to serve Ganondorf, and Jabun was infested with Barinade.

Yup. My gods are far from perfect. They may be immortal, but they are not invulnerable. They feel pain and discomfort, but they CAN die by methods utilized by beings on their level of existence. They can not be killed by mortal means (though their 'mortal' forms can), but they can be killed by other 'gods' and by their means.

You've definitely displayed their imperfections well. Are you going to write all this out? (I can't recall having read it, if you have in the past.) And by write all this out, I mean... are you gonna write out a story? ... Mesa has a feeling you answered this question in the past. xD

I plan on making a creation story for Hyrule and Termina, yes, but for the most part this is all just reference information and images for whenever they are mentioned or used in future stories and the like.
