Her character, Kenzie! I had the opportunity to draw pigtails so of course I made them super long and wavy.. even if they're not that long in the reference ;w; //sorry for any anatomy/proportion problems ineedtopractice TuT
I'm sorry I haven't been online much, or drawing much either. My life has been taken over by homework... and Fire Emblem: Awakening. Oh my gosh, once I start playing that game I can't stop ;A;

I had to give myself a few days to draft a proper reaction to this that will appropriately display all my emotions....but all I came up with was ASDFGHJKJHGFDSSDFGHJKJHGFDETGHJK/
Literally, this could not be more beauuuutiful!!
First of all, I love the length of her bunchies, she looks like a magic girl, and the effect is so pretty, I'm totally going to have to try it out myself! Also, I love that Lilac the butterfly looks like she's just about to land in Kenzie's hair, that's a super sweet touch ♥♥
Her top looks so vibrant, and I like how her skirt looks like it's been scattered with Rainbow Sprinkles 
The butterfly in the foreground is completely amazing, I love the soft colours, in fact I love the soft colours throughout. You really managed to capture Kenzie's colourfulness without it being abusive to the eyes! Haha!
I absolutely adore it ALL, thank you ever so much for trading with me, it's utterly beautiful, I couldn't have wished for a better half

Well, that being said, I remember smiling when I read this before and that still rings true now. Your compliment makes me so, so happy <3 And I'm really happy that you liked the way it turned out in the end! This one was really fun to draw, and Kenzie is such a sweet character. I'm glad that I got the opportunity to redraw her!

I'd always thought it was a hair accessory until the artist revealed that it was a pet butterfly >u< So I wanted to make it look somewhat alive, yet still have it settled on her hair

Ah, so your feeling better. That's good. Looks like life has gotten you busy, huh? Well, at least you managed to do something, unlike me. Well, you know, with me resting up after a 1st Place win at a State competition and going to Nationals, getting ready for an important event, and finishing high school, yeah, deviantART has been on the back burner for me. And do I detect a Fire Emblem fan? If so, that's great. I actually started playing Fire Emblem in 2005 and my favorite games would have to be Fire Emblem 4 and 12. I gotta get Awakening. I heard that it's a pretty great game as you can play as almost all the Fire Emblem characters in that game. (I finally get to see Sigurd again.)

And yes, Fire Emblem is one of my favorites! The new game is definitely better than I thought it would be. They DO allow you to play almost every old Fire Emblem character-- and in some cases you're pitted against them. That's outside of the story of course, but it's still just as fun to collect them all

Fire Emblem 4 was Geneology of the Holy War/Seisen no Keifu, main character being Sigurd and Celice, famous for their two generation system. Fire Emblem 12 is the remake of Book 2 in Fire Emblem 3: Monshou no Nazo/Mystery of the Emblem, starring Marth.
