this is my last sword! I have used pre-existing blade and have re maded the handle!It's long 1,50 meters
swinging it are a real pleasure
thanks to -redkarasu- to have gave me the inspiration for their long handle

this is my straight edge Nagamaki. notice it doesn't have a Tsuba (Hand Guard) however it it does have three hooks along its spine. this is not a full double bladed weapon. but it is about 4 ft in length and a little thicker then a broom handle.

the handle wrapping could be a little neater, but otherwise it looks gorgeous. the 'over-long' handle is very cool

Heh, thanks, but I'm no expert. There's a lot I have yet to learn, but I hope to learn what I haven't soon enough. I plan to start forging my own knives within the next 2 years, and then my own swords within the next 5 or so years.

questa Γ¨ l'idea generale dell'arma, ho ripreso il rosso del colore dei templi buddisti (come i nastri che ricordano le prieghiere appese sui fili). Le lame sono scure per dare un buon effetto di contrasto (poi non avrei saputo trovare un altro colore). Ho scelto il 3/4 perchΓ© altrimenti non si noterebbero bene le tre lame assieme. In effetti quest'arma sembra una zappa (l'idea mi Γ¨ venuta pensando al rastrello a nove punte del maialino di "viaggio in occidente) volevo un arma che facesse molto danno in fendente (le lame non sono appuntite per fare affondi). Soprattutto perchΓ© i bastoni avendo grande portata possono fare uno swing allucinante, mi piaceva quindi l'idea delle lame ad artiglio (da il nome alla spada: nichibotsutora= tigre dell'alba) che ho pensato di irrobustire anche per dargli piΓΉ grazia.

hmm... First; let me say that this is a marvelous sword! but the only thing that I think that you should change is the lenght of the handle.. Half of the current handle lenght would have made it perfect

the wrap is sloppy. the red cloth wrapped around the handle. its done quick and not very well.

um on a side note, the handle wrapping looks a bit loose or probably it's just because of the material used... why not use leather strips?...
