I think this is just fantastic, Tanya! I love how you've taken advantage of what we can do with DOF and have created such an interesting image with it. The angle is excellent, how we get the bench to fill so much of the frame in the foreground but it stays interesting and is not distracting because it is so ongoing deeper into the frame where eventually we see your focal point. And I do love that, in my eyes, it looks like the area in focus is playing with the rule of thirds in the frame because it is higher in the frame!
My favourite part of this is the background, and how the homes blurred significantly out of focus still do look so English. I love it

If I can be honest,
I feel in 90% of shots the closest area should be in focus.
This area blurred disuturbs me,
but it's a personal opinion

This is one of the first shots I have ever taken with an SLR. I intentionally focused on a point further away, but I should have taken different versions and compared them. Hopefully with practice I'll figure out what works and what doesn't. Thanks for your feedback.

but it is unsignificant because of this great fence line.

Hm - I don't know about focus problems - I was intentionally focusing in this manner, but perhaps it ends up looking like it's a little wrong?
