It was mostly filler, I felt.Β The flashback was nice but didn't tell us anything we didn't already know.Β Just reinforced the feels.Β But it had never been confirmed in canon so I suppose Isayama had to address that.Β That's why I didn't enjoy it.Β I couldn't take anything away from it.
