Sometimes when you're just not sure what to paint it pays to just pick your favourite brush start throwing paint strokes at the canvas.You might start to see something in the mess.
For me I used a large rough square-ish brush and jotted down some strokes that curved together slightly down the centre.
I started to see mountains and thought " I wonder if I could set up a scenario in there"
Eventually I worked my way up to this.

I love the story behind the creation of this piece. It's so funny how inspiration can literally come from anywhere.
Even slapping random colors and strokes on an empty canvas!
I also love the circular movement our eyes go through when observing this, from the night on the left looking toward the fiery arch leading up to the climactic fight between the dragon!
One question though, is that a bird fighting the dragon? Or is it an angelic type figure?

You got this just by doing some brush strokes?
That's amazing. I've done that before where I had no idea what to draw so I would just grab a pencil and start making random shapes on the paper till I started to see something and would begin connecting the shapes till something came out of it.
But this amazing!

Well less boredom and more extream undecisevness with 10 other unfinished projects. Thought it better to paint something rather than just stare blankly at a screen again.
Took a while to turn it into something after the initial venting at a canvas, But I'm quite happy with how it turned out.
