Description Picture of Temiree taking a night-time walk through Mossflower.

I know the background is a bit messy, and that I could have spent more time on it, but I had to draw out Temiree three times over before I got something I liked, so I had a lack of patience when it got time to do a background. I tried looking for a picture on Google of a torch for reference, but all I got was pictures of Olympic torches. So I apologise if the torch he is holding doesn't look right.

Man, I love this tablet.

EDIT: Typo in title.

Thanks, and yeah, that was the intention. I imagined the picture as him taking a walk, but keeping a close, vigilant eye on his surroundings, like there is danger.

Thanks for the comment, Res! And I have your gift art picture in the works. Just want to get my fursona done first. (yeah, I have one )

The fire is actually an actual picture. I just used the clone tool to make it the way I want.

Glad you liked the background. Was worried I didn't spend enough time on it. Thanks for the comment!

I actually think you did very well with the lighting. Try playing around with the Overlay function (you're using Photoshop right?) and you may be able to come around to some interesting lighting techniques as well.

Overlay? Never heard of it. o.O I don't play around with too many options in Photoshop because I am afraid that I will hurt the picture. I'll look it up in a tutorial thing. Thanks!

Various types of Overlay functions can make some really interesting lighting effects. Just make a layer above the rest of the picture and scribble some color (not white or black) on it, then go to the little pull-down menu above your layers that says "normal" in it. You can just play around with those, and you can always change it back to Normal afterward.

By the way, does anyone have tips for lighting effects on clothing? In my picture, instead of his tunic reflecting light from the torch, it looks like a real bad stain instead.
