Native Terms?
And just what do you mean by "Native terms"? I am currently living with the Ojibway, and have learned from and within the Haida, Tsimshian, Tlingit, Kwa'kawa'kawaka, Cowichan, Navajo, Cree, Chippawa, Metis and Mowhak, [Naghual and Ainu inclusive but not territorial] and I have yet to hear ANYONE claim that Eagle and Thunderbird are the same thing. Which "Term" are you referring to exactly?
And Waenaesh k'dodaem? Becuase I'm assuming that you are if you make it sound that it is that way in your culture?

This is delightful for me to see. I do Haida art as well, and this is just inspirational to me. You add your own touches to the style that make it incredible.
My art is nothing compared to yours (especially since I'm not native at all and live in Ontario) and you're...just great, I don't know what to say.

I think I see their eyes, but not their bodies. But I see the big eagle ok.
Purty, and I'm impressed because I find it hard to draw in that style.

The book is called:
"Ojibway Heritage" and the author is Basil Johnston.
VERY excillent read. It really takes and explains the entire mentality, cultural life and spirituality of the Anishnabeg from the beginning. it's stunning!

oh, i do can see those hidden eagles on the body, i'm very much amazed by this work and it's traditional media, u sure have a stable hand when coloring it, and there is no such thing as 'undo' in traditional which even amazed me more, which in a way reminds me i have so long have not toucj my water color skills.
