Description
A semi original weapon I made for my imperial world.

The Nikolev-Aigner Combi-Needle Pistol belongs to the Astra Militarum regiments of Kray Mira and it's Planetary Defense Force. It is a sophisticated firearm designed for Grenadiers and high-level PDF units, to be used in high-risk operations, which must combine high damage output with accuracy and versatility.
Though it is officially said that this pattern was inspired by the Combi-Weapons employed by His Holy Inquisition, it is actually a simplified but effective version of the Executioner Pistols normally utilized by Imperial Eversor Assassins. This pattern was created shortly after the formation of the Great Rift, being reverse engineered from a single Executioner Pistol existing on Kray Mira, in the hands of the highest ranking bodyguard in service of the Premier Secretary (Planetary Governor), which was passed down from one Head of Security to the next. How said pistol ended up on the planet (and the identity of its original owner) remains unknown. This weapon is small enough to be held and controlled in a single hand and is a favored sidearm of many a trooper in the regiments of Kray Mira. The Nikolev-Aigner is commonly employed by those who specialise in close combat, as it leaves their other hand free to wield a close combat weapon. Even though this pattern fires the nearly forgotten .50 calibre rounds, this overpressure ammunition still give it very good stopping power and armour-piercing capabilities in close combat. This weapon can change modes of fire at a twitch of a finger, firing hypertoxin darts one second and mass reactive shells the next. It possesses a simple fire selector allowing the user to fire single shots or three round bursts with both bolts and needles. This pattern has iron sights mounted along the top of the weapon, but a standard rail for scopes (and other attachments) may also be added as needed. This Combi-Weapon is considered to be heretical in the eyes of the Machine God by some members of the Adeptus Mechanicus since it is far less sophisticated than the other extant patterns of Bolter and/or Needler, and combines the inner workings of a Bolter with that of Autopistols. This pattern can be fed via 15, 20 or 30 rounds magazines.
Though Kray Mira did not originally meddle with such holy technologies, the formation of the Cicatrix Maledictum forced the planet to improve and expand its defensive capabilities in order to survive. Due to their loyalty and numerous contributions to the Indomitus Crusade, all of Kray Mira's subtle tech heresies were overlooked/allowed to continue by the Adeptus Mechanicus.

As with my previous post, it's kinda inspired on the Soviet Union and modern day Russia, though this one in particular is based on the austrian Steyr TMP. Hope you like it!
