Robin's flashback is killing me.. it really is.
So here's a little "What If" pic had Robin been adopted into the Tom's Workers family... Before the next tragedy hits that is.
She's around 13 here and he's 19, so I'd say at this point it's more of a one-sided, secret little crush on her part. I tried to give Franky an expression of fondness but seem to have failed. XP

But the scene under the bridge with Usopp, and Franky's acting all cool then one of the Square Sisters brings him some tea and she's all "Now, be careful, aniki, it's hot, okay?" and he, of course, didn't heed her warning xD I loved Franky's insanely violent moodswings towards the beginning.

Wow, you're memory is good. I completely forgot about that. (It's an excuse to re-watch the episodes.) He was all sniffly and blubbering over Usopp's story and they brought him tea to make him feel better. XD

Yeah that was when I started liking Franky. I hated him so much at first for the whole money thing, but when he cried tha river of tears for Usopp I immediately warmed up. And the rest.. is history.
One thing I'll miss if (well, "when") Franky joins is how the sisters dote on him and do his back-up dancing.

Every so often I get bored at a friend's house and watch some W7 episodes (I own pretty much the rest of the series on DVD, however HK it may be).
I remember hating him, too xD I kind of wish Oda had kept him as a bad guy a little longer, it was quite entertaining.

Yeah, Franky wasn't bad long enough for me to consider him a "real" villain. Would've emphasized his transition to "good guy" more. But I forgive them since now we've got sappy "Waah I love you guys!!!" Franky. (Just watched the most recent raws!)

But while I had the "GRR DIE!" mentality when I first read it, when I look back at some scenes (when he's talking about how he's going to beat up Luffy, or when he kidnaps Usopp) they're MUCH more entertaining and fun to look at when you know he's a big softie.

You still haven't seen the end of Robin's flashback? Withall the intensity and tear-jerkiness of the final scenes, having it end on Franky bawling his eyes out was EXACTLY what I needed. XD (And now more useless flashback footage. *groan* )
Even after all this, I still think Franky's first meeting with Luffy is cool as hell.

Yes he does! I'm hoping this is all part of a time-jump with the flashbacks and Toei did not SERIOUSLY fuck up. That's like.. one of his greatest moments (besides shielding his lovely flower!)
Instead of pointless flashbacks they could have animated the damn Goldenweek saga.. like they're doing with the shorts.

Burning the blueprints was FULL OF AWESOME and one of the best "Franky is SO gonna join!" moments. How in the world could Toei mess that up? ;__;

I like this very much - Cutty's 'protective' gaze and Robin's blushing make this an overall cute pic, and the colouring (especially on their hair) came out wonderfully.

Aw, thanks! For some reason Cutty was harder to do than Franky. I still got a lot of work to go on colouring, but as long as the mood got through I'm happy.
